Dutch ADORE.software signatories share progress

A few years after the launch of the Amsterdam Declaration on Funding Research Software Sustainability (ADORE.software), Dutch signatories gathered at the Netherlands eScience Center to take stock of what has been achieved — and what work remains ahead. Representatives from NWO, ZonMw, the University of Groningen’s Centre for Information Technology (CIT-RUG), and the Netherlands eScience Center (NLeSC) discussed their progress and explored opportunities for future collaboration.
The discussion highlighted advances in policy, funding, training, and research software recognition, while identifying common challenges around sustainable staffing, institutional policy frameworks, and making research software a visible, citable first-class research output.
